The European Commission's Directorate-General for Research has launched a number of calls for proposals under the 2008 and 2009 work programmes of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

- Health (FP7-Health-2009-Single-Stage and FP7-Health-2009-Two-Stage)
Deadline for submission of the proposals: 03 December 2008;
- Information and Communication Technologies for Call: (ICT) FP7-ICT-2009-4
Deadline for submission of the proposal: 01 April 2009
- Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies
(FP7-NMP-2009-SMALL-3 and FP7-NMP-2009-LARGE-3 and FP7-NMP-2009-SME-3)
Deadline for submission of the proposals: 17 February 2009;
